Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryA. DALE MILLER (nee WALKER) Suddenly after a brief illness Dale Miller passed away at home in her sleep on Monday, November 26, 2007. Dale was born in Winnipeg on April 12, 1946, and spent her childhood growing up on Harcourt St. in St. James. She attended school at Bannatyne, Golden Gate, and Silver Heights Collegiate. Following high school she trained as a LPN, working at the Misericordia and Grace Hospitals in pediatrics. She then went into community health for a short time, and eventually Seven Oaks General Hospital when it opened, where she remained until her retirement in 2004. Dale was always the caregiver . She loved her nursing career, and was an excellent nurse. She was happiest when she was taking care of someone, as she did with her mother and father in their latter years. Her nieces and nephews were also a huge part of her life, and she was involved in their lives whenever possible. Dale loved the outdoors, and spent many happy times at the family cottage at Ingolf, which she considered her home. She loved water sports, buying her first boat in 1968. She was always on the look out for a new water toy, a new ski, Wally Water Walkers , or maybe a floating chair. There were many eventful canoe trips to North Cross Lake, where if fortune would have it, a bear or some other critter would visit the camp. Winter was the time for different toys, snow machines, skis, and of course Ringette. She cherished memories of times with her buddies on the Jet Setters and Pink Ladies , and of course the twice yearly escapades to The Shooting Star with the Super Six and her buddies from Ingolf. Dale was predeceased by her Mother and Father, Emily and Jim Walker, and her Nephew, Shane Bullee. She will be sadly missed and loved always by her family: Robbie (Cliff), Betty, Heather (Frank), Jimmy, Ernie (Jenna). Nieces, Chelsea, Shauna, (Richard) and Autumn; Nephews, Brent (Laura), Devon (Janelle), Del (Tammy), Joey. Great-Nieces: Erica, Cassie, Hailey, Chelsea and Great-Nephew Zachary. Dear Friends: Linda, Trin', Fluffy (Louise), Bernie and Myrna. Honorary Pallbearers: Trinity Klassen, Louise Hodi, Bernie Pelechaty , Myrna Winslow, Donna Thompson, Jacquelyn MacDonald, Linda Clarke. Flowers gratefully declined should friends so desire a donation in her memory to Funds for Furry Friends, Ste. 208 740 Rosser Ave., Brandon, MB. or the Terry Fox Fund. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, December 4 at 3:00 p.m. Chapel Lawn - 4000 Portage Avenue in care of arrangements.

Robbie, I am so sorry to read about the death of your dear sister Dale. I knew Dale through baseball many years ago and seeing her at your house the odd time. Dale had such a vibrant personality and she will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her. God bless you and your family and this time.
