STUART ARTHUR WARES October 15, 1953 November 24, 2007 With deep sadness, we regret to announce the passing of Stuart Arthur Wares, our dear father, grandfather, husband and brother at the age of 54. Stuart was predeceased by his parents Arthur and Gladys Wares, and is lovingly survived by his children Jason (Melissa), grandson Darius, Joshua (Sasheen), grandson Phoneix, Catherine (Craig) and Matthew, the children's mother Marjorie Neufeld, and Stuart's brother Robert (Bonnie). Also left to mourn Stuart is his wife June, stepchildren Mike and Erin (Rick), baby Kelsey, his parents-in-law Don and Nina Adams, and numerous nephews and cousins. Stuart was a family man and loved spending time with his children and stepchildren. His grandchildren also gave him a particular sense of joy. Stuart was born and raised in Winnipeg, and later settled in Lac du Bonnet, about 32 years ago, where he was married and raised his children. In Lac du Bonnet, he started working as a mechanic in the mines, and later in the trucking industry where he fell in love driving big rigs. Stuart was a volunteer on the Lac du Bonnet Fire Department. His final occupation was working at Lakeview Hotel as the man of many trades'. Stuart considered the Lakeview staff his extended family and loved working with everyone there. Stuart was also a very talented carpenter. His woodworking abilities, in particular his signature shelves, can be found in many homes throughout the Winnipeg, Steinbach, Beausejour, and Lac du Bonnet areas. His calling to this trade came very honestly as a family tradition handed down by his grandfather. In the recent years, Stuart took pride in gardening, especially his ever-loved tomato plants and flowers. The flowers, Stuart felt, were exceptionally beautiful, and started pressing them for his own keepsake album. Stuart's wishes have been followed and cremation has taken place. There will be a small private family service. Extended family and friends are encouraged to worship and celebrate Stuart's life in the traditions that are best suited to their lives and beliefs. The family would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their prayers and endless support. In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be made to CancerCare Manitoba or to a charity of choice. SOBERING FUNERAL CHAPEL CREMATORIUM, Beausejour 268-3510 or MB Toll Free 1-877-776-2220
