WILLEMINA (MINA) ALDEGONDA MARIA (LeTEXIER) MALENCHAK Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother passed away suddenly at the age of 87 on November 29, 2007. She is survived by her children, Patricia (Grant), Bruce, Sandra (Don), Gordon (Theresa), Melvin, 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and siblings, Ernest and Helen (Bill). Mina was predeceased by her husband Frank, of 61 years; children, Darlene and Ritchard and parents, Jean-Marie and Jordana (Jeanne). Mina was born on November 26, 1920 in Fisher Branch, Manitoba. At age 13 she left school to help raise her brothers and sisters after her mother became ill. At 17 she moved to Winnipeg where she worked at various jobs until the war broke out. During the Second World War she worked building aircraft wings for McDonald Douglas Aircraft, a job she truly enjoyed. After the war she married her sweetheart Frank in 1946 and settled down to raise their children who were the love and pride of her life. In her later years Mina and Frank enjoyed traveling throughout the United Slates and Canada, finally settling in Winnipeg. A special thanks to the staff at Seven Oaks Dialysis Unit for the care and support of our Mina. A memorial service will be held on Monday, December 3 at 2:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street, Winnipeg.
