IAN MILLIDGE FAIRFIELD September 26, 1943 - November 20, 2007 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Ian Fairfield on November 20, 2007 at the Toronto Rehab Hospital following a seven-year struggle with the devastating effects of a stroke. Ian faced this challenge with great courage and dignity coupled with a remarkable sense of humour and a will to keep trying. Ian is survived by his loving wife Pat and their three sons, Sean (Shelley), Jason (Debbie) and Kevin (Alexandra) and his beloved grandchildren, Ian, Alexa and Justin. Ian is also survived by his loving sister Donna Lecuyer, her husband Ron and their three children, Rhonda (Robin), David (Nancy) and Wendy (Garett) all of Winnipeg. He was predeceased by his parents Ian and Beta Fairfield. Ian grew up in Selkirk, Manitoba and moved to Winnipeg as a young boy. His career took him from Winnipeg to Calgary and finally Oakville, Ontario where he and his family have resided for the last 30 years. Ian will be greatly missed by many loving family and friends but thankfully we share a wealth of wonderful memories to sustain us over the years. And to quote his cousin Mel's last lines of his eulogy: Well done thou good and faithful servant. Well done Ian, well done. Donations in Ian's memory can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
