NETTIE BOBBIE (nee NEBOZUK) Nettie Bobbie passed away Wednesday, November 28, 2007, peacefully in her home in Winnipeg, at the age of 89 years. She is survived by her son Richard, grandchildren, Diana and Paige, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Bill, her sister Anne, and daughter-in-law Donna. Nettie will be sadly missed by her friends and family. Nettie was born in Transcona on January 28, 1918. She studied stenography and dressmaking and worked for several garment companies. She met Bill in Winnipeg and they were married in 1948. Nettie worked for Sears at the Polo Park and Garden City stores from 1965 until her retirement in 1983. After retirement, her passions were shopping with her sister-in-law Doris, her granddaughters, reading, and crossword puzzles. Throughout the years, Nettie and her sister Anne were always close, talking to one another regularly and frequently. Even though Nettie suffered with several medical problems (she lost a leg to diabetes), she never lost her sense of humour and kind nature. Special thanks to staff and friends at ArlingtonHaus for their kindness. Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 4 at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street, Winnipeg, with a reception to follow.
