DARLENE BAERBIG September 27, 1949 - December 2, 2007 It is with heavy hearts the family announces the passing of Darlene Baerbig on December 2, 2007 at St. Boniface Hospital. She passed away surrounded by her family, following a brief illness with cancer at the age of 58. Darlene will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by her loving husband William; loving daughters, Heather (Scott) Kulyk and Nancy (Terry) Wasylenchuk; two precious grandchildren, Rylan Kulyk and Emily Wasylenchuk; mother Margaret Reid; and brothers, Harold Jr. Reid, Don (Judy) Reid of Edmonton, AB and Tim (Judy) Reid; as well as in-laws Martha and Ralph Baerbig, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. She was predeceased by her father Harold Reid on November 16, 2005. Darlene worked as a nurse in 1970 at Misericordia and then finished her career at Concordia Hospital in 2005. She enjoyed spending time with her family at the cottage in Lac du Bonnet and taking several trips to Mexico with her husband and many friends. The family expresses warmest gratitude and heartfelt thanks to all the family and friends for their support throughout this time. We would like to thank all the doctors and nurses on the 3rd Floor at St. Boniface Hospital as well as CancerCare for all their care and compassion. Viewing will be held this evening, December 5 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral service, the following day Thursday, December 6 at 11:00 a.m. at Braeside Church, 1011 Munroe. Interment to follow at Mennonite Memorial Gardens, Symington at Navin Road. Pallbearers; Scott Kulyk, Terry Wasylenchuk, Chad Baerbig, Quinton Baerbig, Sean Schaefer and Rolf Baerbig. In lieu of flowers, donations in Darlene's memory may be made to CancerCare Manitoba. Arrangements entrusted to: VOYAGE FUNERAL HOME CREMATORIUM 220 Hespeler Ave @ Henderson Hwy 668-3151
