Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryIAN MACKIE MCIVOR December 24, 1933 - December 1, 2007 On December 1, 2007 at Fred Douglas Lodge, Ian Mackie McIvor passed away unexpectedly. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Marjorie, son Jim, and his daughter Leanne. He will also be sadly missed by his sister Isabella Shannon (husband Ray) of Calgary, and other family members, Carole and Bill Reinisch, Gail McIvor, Ed Sarna, Don and Val Gabel and many nieces and nephews. Ian was predeceased by his parents John and Edna, his sister Margaret and his brother Hamish. Ian was born and raised in Stony Mountain. His passion was his family, whom he cared and loved so much. Ian would do everything and anything for his wife and his children. Ian also enjoyed gardening, shopping and curling. He also loved and raised Cocker Spaniels. Ian worked for the Department of Manitoba Highways for over 40 years as an Engineer's Aid. Many thanks to the administrative staff, nurses, physiotherapist, volunteer workers, and other staff members of Fred Douglas Lodge for all the care and assistance they provided to Ian over the years. Dad we are going to miss your smile and your sense of humour but most of all we are going to miss your love and support . In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to charities of your choice. Memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 6 at 1:00 p.m. at the MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, 433 Main St., Stonewall, MB. MacKenzie Funeral Home, Stonewall in care of arrangements.
