Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOSEPH (JOE) RICHARD KOMADOWSKI Joseph (Joe) Richard Komadowski was born August 18, 1921. Joe passed away December 3, 2007 at his residence in Cooks Creek, Manitoba at the age of 86. Joe was born August 18, 1921 at the family farm in Cooks Creek, MB. He attended Zora School until grade 8. He was a member of St. Michaels Church where he was baptized, received his first Holy Communion and was confirmed. His childhood was filled with fun and adventurous play along with plenty of farm chores. As a young man Joe farmed with his parents in Cooks Creek. During the war years he was employed at the cordite plant, and later he worked at Swifts as a meat cutter until his retirement. Joe purchased the family farm after his father passed away. He loved the farm, he enjoyed working with his hands, and working the land; living on the farm gave him the freedom to be creative. He was always working with machinery, always inventing something new and modifying existing farm equipment to get the best use of it. He looked forward to his annual visit to the Austin Fair with Cindy and family to see the antique farm implements, animals and festivities. Joe enjoyed nature and the outdoors and he worked relentlessly in his yard in all weather conditions and remained in great physical condition until his passing; he started each day with his Jack LaLanne workout. Joe enjoyed his pets, and over the years he had a collection of cats, dogs and ducks. Joe was known for his easy, infectious smile and sense of humor. He always enjoyed family celebrations, and when he arrived, he lit up the room. At Christmas he was always Santa which was fitting of his character because he was a wonderfully generous person to all. Joe was predeceased by his parents Stanley and Mary Komadowski; and siblings, Edward, Stanley Jr., Walter, Lucy, Frances, Caroline, Fallazea, Edgar, Mary and Brian. He is survived by his sister Stella Skowron, many nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. Joe will be missed by his family who loved him so dearly. A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 7, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler Ave. Arrangements entrusted to: VOYAGE FUNERAL HOME CREMATORIUM 220 Hespeler Ave @ Henderson Hwy 668-3151
