Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKENNETH ALEXANDER CAMPBELL 1922 - 2007 Peacefully, on December 3, 2007, Ken Campbell passed away at the Stonewall Hospital. Ken was predeceased by his wife Lena in 1997. Ken is survived by two sons, Gerry (Heather) of Kamloops, BC, Daryl of Winnipeg; foster daughter Doris (Brian) Beavis, and their daughters, Lori and Shannon, all of Calgary, AB; one grandson Ryan of Winnipeg; one brother-in-law Henry Wirch (Vi) of Kelowna, BC; and one sister-in-law Edna Switzer of Portage La Prairie. Ken was born on July 3, 1922, in Winnipeg and was raised in Cypress River until the age of 17 when Ken and his dad moved to Meadows after his mother passed away. They farmed in the Meadows area until 1946 when Ken and Lena were married and moved to Grosse Isle where they farmed until 1990, when they sold the farm and moved to Lions Manor, Stonewall. After Lena passed away Ken spent many hours delivering flowers for the local florist. In 2002 he moved into Rosewood Lodge until his passing. Ken spent many enjoyable hours at the curling rink in the winter and baseball diamonds in the summer. Ken and Lena opened their home to many foster children over the years. The family would like to express their thanks to the nursing staff of Rosewood Lodge for their compassionate care. Funeral service will be held on Friday, December 7 at 2:00 p.m. at the New Life Church, Stonewall. Dr. Henry Ozirney will officiate. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the building fund at the New Life Church, Stonewall. MacKenzie Funeral Home, Stonewall in care of arrangements.
