Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDOROTHY YOUNGSTROM Dorothy Youngstrom, aged 80, of Wilmot, NS passed away Tuesday, December 4, 2007 in Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in Saskatoon, she was the daughter of the late James and Ethel Etta (Clarke) Gillespie. She taught Grade 5 at Pleasant Hill School and Special Education at Princess Alexandra. After marrying and moving to Winnipeg, MB, she was on staff from 1952-1964. She especially enjoyed the teaching of a Visually Handicapped Class, as she herself was thus afflicted from birth and became completely blind in later years. Upon moving to Nova Scotia in 1964, she retired from teaching. She is survived by nieces, Marie, Red Deer; Chris, British Columbia; nephew, Stanley (Peggy) Gillespie, Red Deer, AB. She was predeceased by her husband, Bertil and brother, George Arthur. By request, there will be no funeral service. Interment will be held in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Winnipeg, Manitoba.
