ESCOLASTICA V. BENAVIDEZ February 10, 1937 - November 30, 2007 Suddenly with family and friends by her side, Escolastica V. Benavidez passed away at the Health Sciences Centre at the age of 70. Escolastica was born on February 10, 1937, in Rancho Santa Ilocos Sur, Philippines. She came to Winnipeg in 1972. Escolastica was an active member of St. Mary's Cathedral. She enjoyed visiting family over seas and in the U.S. Escolastica will be lovingly missed and remembered by many family and friends, especially the Adelantar and Liberato families. Lamay to be held on Friday, December 7 from 6:00 p.m. to 12:00 midnight at Knysh Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main St. Funeral service will be held at St. Mary's Cathedral, 353 St. Mary's Ave., on Saturday, December 8 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery Queen of Heaven Mausoleum, 3990 Portage Ave. You have always brought joy to our lives and will remain in our hearts forever.
