Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHARVEY GESELL August 16, 1925 December 5, 2007 It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of Harvey Harry Gesell, on December 5, 2007 at the St. Boniface Hospital, with his son and best friend, Warren by his side. Harvey was born August 16, 1925 to his late parents, Fred and Lydia of Seven Sisters and later Teulon. He married Donna Irene Watson on June 21, 1952 in Gladstone. After living in downtown Winnipeg for nine years they moved to Transcona where they bought their family home and raised three sons. Harvey started a career in the garment industry in 1951, opening a business of his own in 1973, ABW Sewing Machine Co., having his wife Donna and later, his son Warren working by his side. Harvey was a very dedicated hard working businessman, working long hours to build a very successful business. In 2003 the business moved into their own building at 309 Logan where it has expanded into new related ventures. Harvey, son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend, was predeceased by his parents and a daughter in 1954. His greatest loss in the fall of 1997, was when he lost his loving wife Donna. Her passing was a great sorrow to all. Most recent losses of his brother Harold, sister Helen and sister-in-law Bev brought more sorrow. Harvey is survived by his three sons, Alan (Gaelle) and two grandsons, Arnaud and Thomas of Montreal, son Brad (Glen) of Toronto, and son and best friend, Warren of Winnipeg; his brothers, Lawrence, Clarence, Wally; sisters, Esther, Martha and many nieces, nephews and great (great) nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Glen Ellegood, Richard Kerluk, Barry Gesell, Brian Gesell, Clifford Gesell and Ken Gesell. Interment to follow at the Transcona Cemetery, beside his beloved wife Donna. Rest in Peace dear Dad, Be with Mum. Transcona Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements.
