Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCLIFFORD NICHOLAS JOSEPH It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved father, grandfather and great grandfather, Clifford Joseph, aged 82 years, of Victoria Beach, MB on December 6, 2007 at the Sunnywood Manor, Pine Falls, surrounded by his loving daughters. Clifford was predeceased by his beloved wife of 61 years, Mary in 2005 and leaves surviving his children, Diana (Don) Chapel, Marcia (Sonny) Sleeman, Debbie (Anthony) Cranen, Colleen (Don) Borlase, Clifford, and Verna Vincent; 16 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; sister Shirley Lekei (Bill) as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was also predeceased by sons, Brian, Bradley, Ray and Tommy; brother Howard; sister Ivy and son-in-law Tony. Clifford was born in Victoria Beach, MB, on August 14, 1925 and moved to Winnipeg in 1942. It was here that he met Mary and they were married on April 23, 1944 and together they moved to Victoria Beach where they lived and raised their family. Dad was a commercial fisherman on Lake Winnipeg all his life until he was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. He loved to hunt, fish and to go camping at Sand River. He also loved gardening with Mom and watering flowers. Dad's commitment, love and devotion to his wife and family were his priority. His ability to overcome many obstacles and the tragedies were a true testimony of his character and strength. Dad was a quiet and humble man who was always willing to lend a helping hand. Those who met him were always welcome at his home and became longtime friends. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, December 10 at 2:00 p.m. with viewing one hour prior to at the Victoria Beach Seniors Center. Interment will take place at the Victoria Beach Cemetery. His pallbearers will be Todd and Jason Chapel, Garnett Sleeman, Timothy Cranen, David Borlase, Nicholas and Clifford Joseph, and Brian Joseph. Honorary pallbearers will be Greg and Clifford Anderson, Rocky and Cory Gurman, Ken Gurman, Scott and Glen Stephens, Darrell and Rod Gurman and Dwayne Lekei. Special thanks to the staff at the Sunnywood Manor for all their excellent care and kindness. If friends so desire, donations may be made to the RECREATIONAL DEPARTMENT, Sunnywood Manor. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
