She later lived in St. Joseph, St. Boniface and Winnipeg. Throughout her childhood she was graced by the love and care of many. Lorraine met the love of her life, Arthur at West Hawk Lake. They married and started a family of their own while moving around Manitoba from one rural community to another, finally settling in River Heights, Winnipeg. Always the joker, Lorraine had the innate ability to create a fun and exciting atmosphere. Wherever she went, she became involved in her community and developed many close and lasting relationships. She studied and travelled widely, exploring both the physical and spiritual worlds. Her interests in alternative healing methods, Buddhism and aboriginal spirituality all contributed to her personal and professional development. Lorraine and Art spent many winters in Florida enjoying the warmth of the sunshine, the company of each other and their beautiful circle of friends. Lorraine was a daughter, wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, teacher, nurse, artist, musician and a great friend to all. She taught those who knew her different ways to see, to learn, and to love. A wise woman, with a lifelong passion for learning and a deep love of nature, she had a great desire for universal peace and understanding. She led a full, vibrant and wonderful life; she will live in our hearts forever. Our deepest thanks to all who have loved, supported and cared for Lorraine throughout her life's journey. Lorraine thanks all the benefactors in her life. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Winnipeg Harvest by phoning (204) 982-3663 or Foster Parents Plan of Canada at 1-800-387-1418.
