Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryFREDERICK WARREN WHITE 1908 - 2007 Peacefully on December 5, 2007 at St. Boniface Hospital after a short illness, Warren passed away at the age of 99 years. Warren was born on March 16, 1908 in Schenectady, New York and has been a Winnipeg resident since 1915. He was known as Fred to his work friends and Warren to the family. Warren was predeceased by his wife of 56 years, Nellie, in 1993 and his sister Rita (Dickson) in 2006. He will be lovingly remembered by his nieces, Nancy (Ross McLaughlin) and Jean (Arthur Marcellus); great-niece Pauline Burnett, and great-nephews, Doug Burnett, Garret and Ryan Marcellus on the West Coast; and in Winnipeg by his dear companion Iris Schenk, her family Robert and Rachel (Bosc) Schenk, and Morlyne, David, Bruce (Cheryl), Sharon and Trevor Clark, and his many friends at the Riverside Lions Estates. In his younger years, Fred worked with Neil Brothers wholesale grocers and then joined Winnipeg Electric, retiring from Manitoba Hydro in 1973. Service was a constant theme throughout his life - at Hydro and everywhere. Warren's integrity and steadfastness shaped his every action. Friends and strangers alike benefited from his loving, caring and giving generosity. Fred/Warren filled his retirement years with travel and volunteer work, interested to the end in the activities and well being of his friends and loved ones. A memorial service will be held on Monday, December 10, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. at Riverside Lions Estates, 188 Worthington Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R2M 5K1.
