ANNE GRYMALUK ( nee SKOTNICKI ) After a short illness, Mom passed away December 4, 2007 at the Concordia Hospital. Mom was born December 20, 1921 in Stornaway, Saskatchewan. She came to Transcona as a very young girl and lived here the rest of her life. She met Dad and they were married in 1940. Peter passed away in 1985. Mom was the oldest of five children. She had survived them all. Her mother and father, Joe and Mary, her sisters, Kay, Steffie, Minnie and her brother John. Mom was a kind and super lady and a great mother to sons, Ted (Janet) from Squamish, BC, Don (Wilma) and daughter Maureen from Transcona. Mom was also Baba to Jarod, Nadeen and Carol and a great-Baba to Rebecca, Victoria, Riley and Kendal. She had just become a great-great Baba to twin boys, Alexander and Christopher. She was also survived by sister-in-law Bernice Sebunchak. Mom loved life and was very easy going. She would have done anything for anyone, especially her children and grandchildren. One of her biggest joys in life was spending time with Rebecca and Victoria. She also had a very close relationship with her ex-daughter-in-law, Hilda. Mom's wish was not to have a funeral. She will be cremated and laid to rest beside her husband at Transcona Cemetery. The family would like to express their sincere thanks to Dr. Abdulrehman and the staff at Concordia Hospital, 3rd Floor. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, they may make memorial donations to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Avenue R3E 0V9. We love you Mom Now you can rest. Transcona Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements.
