JEAN BERNICE ACHESON It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Glen's beloved wife, Jean Bernice, at Victoria General Hospital on Monday, December 3, 2007, after a short illness. She will be greatly missed by Glen, and her children, Lesley (Fred) Foster, Bob (Marilyn Olson) and Barbara (Bob) Letchford; her seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren and her sister Nola (Ken) Lillyman . She was born in Winnipeg, MB July 4, 1922. Jean and Glen were high school sweethearts and married April 9, 1943. Throughout her life Jean had a flair for mathematics and was Treasurer of Silver Heights United Church Sunday School and Silver Heights 5 Pin Bowling League. She enjoyed her bowling and also her golf at Breezy Bend as well as in Florida during her retirement years. She was also very involved with Toastmistresses. She loved her summers at Caddy Lake with family and friends. According to Jean's wishes, her remains were donated to the University for research purposes. A family memorial was held Friday, December 7. If friends so desire, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the CNIB of Manitoba.
