ANNE (ANNA) LYSY (nee KOWALSKI) 1921 - 2007 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother Anne on Monday, December 3, 2007, at the age of 86. Those of her immediate family left to cherish Anne's memory are her beloved sons, Don (Diane), Ron (Pat), Jerry (Lucille); grandchildren, Cory (Estefania), Sheri, Cheryl, Tammy and great-grandson Jaylen as well as her sister Eleanor Gallant from Sudbury, Ontario and several nieces and nephews. Anne was predeceased by her husband Peter in 1998, her grandson Terry, sisters Sophie and Frances, brothers Mike, John, Carl, Joe, Frank, Nick and sister-in-law Olga. Born in Hazeldell, Saskatchewan on May 3, 1921 and she and Dad enjoyed 56 wonderful years of marriage together. Anne began her employment in house cleaning, then pursued a career with Naleway Caterers, retiring after 30 years of service. Mom was kind and caring and loved her family dearly. Although we will miss mom with all our hearts, we find comfort in knowing that at last she is at peace, free of the pain and suffering she endured in the last several years and finally reunited with her husband. Mom was also blessed to have been cared for by a wonderful group of homecare workers too many to mention, however, the family especially wishes to acknowledge and thank Sheri for her devotion and special care given to mom as well as to Dr. Bennett for her help and compassion. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Anne can be made to the Holy Family Nursing Home, 165 Aberdeen Avenue. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service Reception will be held on Tuesday, December 11 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Private Interment will follow at a later date.
