MARGARET (BUNNY) JEAN LAING (nee YANICK) In the early morning hours of December 7, 2007 with family at her side, Bunny quietly slipped into eternal peace. She has once again been reunited with her mother Dora, father Melvin, and sister Pat. Bunny's family meant everything to her, and she was everything to the family. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband Dave; their children Kristine, Jason, Cathy (Ted); three beautiful granddaughters, Lauri, Autumn, and Maya; and brothers, Rick (Lucille) and Jim. A very special thank you to Lucille for being there for Bunny when she needed her, and to Jean and Frank Stobbe for all their kindnesses during her illness. The family also wishes to extend a very special thank you to the nurses, aides, and the rest of the staff at the Beausejour Health Centre for going over and above in the care and compassion they have shown Bunny and the whole family. It is greatly appreciated. A celebration of Bunny's life will be held Thursday, December 13, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. at Friends Funeral Service, 2146 Main Street. Interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Bunny's name to CancerCare Manitoba in order to allow them to continue their valuable work. FRIENDS FUNERAL SERVICE 2146 Main Street 339-5555

Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • Gido took one look at the baby and said she was like a happy little bunny - and the name stuck. No matter what the circumstances life threw at her, Bunny always found something to smile about. Her laugh was contagious and she filled a room with sunshine. Dear cousin, you are free from pain at last and I hope that you knew how much you were loved.
