DESMOND HAROLD SOLVASON With great sadness, the family announces the passing of our beloved brother Desmond, on Saturday, December 8, 2007, at the age of 54. Known by many as Des, he will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his siblings, Karen (Don), Elizabeth, Mary, Raymond, Lorne (Florence), Corinne and Rayleen. His best friend Angèle, many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins will also cherish his memory. Desmond was predeceased by his father Karl Solvason (1984), his mother and stepfather Rachel and Arthur Pearce (1991), his siblings, Robert (1967), Lawrence (1986), Bryan (2001), and Alexandra (2004). Des lived a good life. He had a strong sense of humour and was creative in the arts. He was an artist, a poet, a writer and most of all a wonderful brother. In keeping with Des's wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 12 at 2:00 p.m. at the Wereschuk Funeral Chapel, 447 Selkirk Ave. My Heart soars!
