CHARLES MICHAEL TURK On Saturday, December 8, 2007, at St. Boniface Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer and family by his side, we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father and grandfather. Charles is survived by his loving wife Dorothy; daughter Marilyn (Colin); sons, Michael (Paulette), David (Caron); grandchildren, Jamie, Katie, Ryan and Shayne, as well as extended family. Charles was born August 2, 1929, in East St. Paul, MB. He was employed by CN Rail for 40 years, retiring in 1989. Being with his family especially his grandchildren was most important to Charles. He also enjoyed gardening and was an active member of the Transcona Horticultural Society and E.K. YMCA. Charles was extremely fond of and took great care of the family pets. The family would like to thank Dr. Friesen and staff of 5B at St. Boniface Hospital. Special thanks to nurse Jacqueline and especially nurse Helene for her care and compassion during his final moments. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 12 at 11:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street.
