WALTER SHYMKO Suddenly on December 8, 2007 our Uncle Walter passed away at the Health Sciences Center. He will be lovingly remembered by his sister, Anne Tanasiecuk, nieces Lillian, Stella, Victoria, Mary-Ann, Annette, Sylvia and Elizabeth, nephews Larry, Don and John, and his great-nephew Neil. He was predeceased by his Mother, Father, brothers Peter and Joe and his niece Florence and her son Timmy. Uncle Walter was born on August 22, 1940. He was raised on a farm in Springfield, MB. He enjoyed playing and listening to music. He enjoyed all the old Country and Western songs. He had a musical talent of playing by ear. He could pick up an accordion or guitar or sit at the piano and play a tune. In the summer he liked to go fishing at Lockport or go to garage sales. He would always find something because he was easy to please. He was thankful for any kindness shown to him and he was a good person. He always looked forward to Christmas and Easter when he would join with us all. He would always ask if there would be cabbage rolls. (His favourite) Uncle Walter, we are surely going to miss you, but we know that you are at Peace. Funeral service to be held on Thursday, December 13, 2007 at 1:00 p.m at the Transcona Funeral Chapel 1800 Day St. with Rev. Fr. Michael Krochak officiating. Interment to follow at the Ukrainian National Cemetery
