ALFRED (AL) NEUFELD Born May 23, 1928, in Whitewater, MB, the eleventh of twelve children born of William and Anna Neufeld, went to be with his Lord on Saturday, December 8, 2007, at the age of 79. He passed away unexpectedly, due to complications after surgery. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Elsie; four children: Ron (Rhonda) of Winnipeg and their children: Christopher and Daniel, Sandy Bissky (Wayne) of Maple Ridge and their children: Marla, Jared, Adrienne and Stephen, Norm (Gwen) of Oakbank, MB, and their children: Joel, Rebecca (Caleb) Brown (and their children: Nathan, Haley, Matthew), David and Sara, Sharie (Brian) Fehr of Kelowna and their children: Meghan, Chantelle and Justin. Also survived by his brother Herb, wife Theresa; sister Agatha DeFehr; sisters-in-law: Helene Neufeld, Molly Neufeld, Barbara Neufeld, Eloise Neufeld and numerous nieces and nephews. Al left this world with the peace and assurance that only comes through knowing Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. A viewing will be held on Wednesday, December 12 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Springfield Funeral Home, 2020 Springfield Road, Kelowna, BC. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 13 at 1:00 p.m. at Trinity Baptist Church, 1905 Springfield Road, Kelowna, BC. There will be a private interment. A second memorial service will be held in Winnipeg, MB, Saturday, January 5, 2008, at 2:00 p.m. at the Elmwood M.B. Church, 145 Henderson Hwy. If so desired, donations may be made to the Billy Graham Association. A gift in living memory of Al will be made to Holding Hands for Hospice by Springfield Funeral Home.
