Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHELENA (HELEN) REMPEL (nee HAMM) 1916 2007 The family of Helen Rempel is sad to announce the sudden passing of their beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother early on Tuesday, December 11, 2007 at Boundary Trails Health Centre at the age of 91 years. Helen was born January 4, 1916 in Altona, MB. She grew up on the family farm east of Altona and married her husband, Herman in 1942. She devoted her life to her family by being a support to her husband and a mother to her three children. She lived with her family in Winnipeg, Hochfeld, Charleswood and Morden. Helen was baptized upon confession of her faith on May 25, 1952. She lived a happy life and was able to interact with her family and friends until just before her passing. Helena and Herman enjoyed a long retirement including travel and visiting as Herman's dictionary and genealogy pursuits took them on many trips. She leaves to mourn her passing her beloved husband, Herman Rempel of Morden; three children, Terrance and Karen Rempel of Portage la Prairie, Gail and Gerry Ginter of Oakville, ON, Constance and George Webb of Winnipeg as well as grandchildren, Lisa (Mark), Jaimie (Andre), Jillian (Ben), Lindsay, Kristy, Stacy, Tara and three great-grandchildren. Viewing will be at Wiebe Funeral Chapel, 1050 Thornhill St. in Morden (today) Thursday and Friday from 1:00 - 9:00 p.m. and at the church prior to the service. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 15, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at Morden Mennonite Church, 363 Gilmour St. Interment to follow at Hillside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Helen's memory to Mennonite Central Committee, Box 1774, Winkler, MB R6W 4B6.
