KATIE STASIUK Katie Stasiuk, aged 89 years, of Dauphin, MB, and formerly of Roblin, MB, passed away peacefully at Dauphin Personal Care Home, Saturday, December 8, 2007. Surviving are her children, Victoria (Lorne) Woychyshyn of Winnipeg, MB, Sophie (Andy) Babicz of Dauphin, MB, Bishop Peter Stasiuk of Australia, Joyce (Victor) Pshebniski of Dauphin, MB, Sylvia (Allan) Balcean of Marchand, MB, Orest (Joan) Stasiuk of Landmark, MB, 11 Grandchildren and two Great-grandchildren. Also surviving are Sisters, Irene Hominiuk of Hudson Bay, SK, Mary Burdeny and Sophie Brunning, both of Calgary, AB, Sisters-in-law, Anne Maluta of Hudson Bay, SK, and Barbara Maluta of Calgary, AB. Katie was predeceased by her Parents, John and Mary (nee Panasiuk) Maluta, her beloved Husband Michael Stasiuk on February 24, 1996, her Brothers, Steve and Nick Maluta, her Sisters, Anne Nebozniak, Olga Strikiwski, and Stella Konopotski, Brother-in-law and Sister-in-law Harry and Mary Stasiuk. Prayer Service will be held Friday, December 14, 2007, at 7:00 p.m. from the Ukrainian Catholic Church of the Resurrection, Dauphin, MB. Requiem Divine Liturgy will be celebrated Saturday, December 15, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. from Holy Redeemer Ukrainian Catholic Church, Roblin, MB, with His Grace Most Reverend Lawrence Haculak, O.S.B.M. officiating, assisted by Bishop Peter Stasiuk C.Ss.R. Interment will follow at Roblin Catholic Cemetery. Memorial gifts in memory of Katie Stasiuk may be made to the Holy Redeemer Ukrainian Catholic Church Memorial Fund, Box 1449, Roblin, MB R0L 1P0.
