SUSAN MCDONALD Peacefully, after a lengthy illness, Susan passed away with her family by her side on Thursday, December 13, 2007. Her memory will lovingly live on through her mother, Irene McDonald, brother, Reg McDonald, sister Leslie Shields (Tom), stepson Byron Mackay, nieces, Christie Hebert, Janelle Hebert and Arleigh Shields and nephew Ken Hebert. She was predeceased by her husband Bruce Mackay, sister Lois Hebert and father Reg McDonald. Susan was a kind, loving and generous person. We will remember her soft heart, her sense of humour and her passion for helping others. She lived life to the fullest spending time with family and friends at the Winnipeg Folk Festival, sharing a good bottle of wine and spoiling her beloved dog Scottie. We will all miss her very much. A Celebration of her Life will take place at the Brio Hall, 4th Floor of the Winnipeg Art Gallery, 300 Memorial Boulevard, Saturday, December 15, 2007 from 1:00-3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Palliative Care Unit at St. Boniface Hospital are appreciated. The family would like to thank Dr. Ted St. Godard and the wonderful nursing team of the Palliative Care Unit for their compassionate care of Susan.
