Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROSEMARY (BUDDY) MARJORIE BRETT (nee SIMPSON) On the evening of December 12, 2007 with her children at her side, Buddy Brett passed away at Victoria General Hospital. Buddy is survived by her five children, daughters Paula, Lauren (George); sons, Scott (Mary), Chris, Rob (Nikki); grandchildren, Uri (Michelle), Myles, Rory, Heather, Thalia, Curtiss, and Ava; great-grandchild Joelle; sister Mabel Bennett and many nieces and nephews. Buddy was predeceased by her loving husband Doug. Buddy was born in Winnipeg. She spent 82 summers at the place she really called home, Victoria Beach, Manitoba. It was there that she developed her love of nature which she shared with everyone. She was an avid swimmer and enjoyed riding her bicycle everywhere. She was devoted to her church, St. Paul's Anglican, where she sang in the choir and developed many lifelong friendships. Buddy worked at Victoria General Hospital for 37 years where again she developed cherished friendships and was an integral part of the third floor staff. During her many hospitals stays over the last few years, she was treated like hospital royalty. Our sincere and heartfelt thanks to Dr. Cam Lowden, whom she adored, and to all the staff at Victoria General Hospital whose compassionate and professional care of Buddy provided comfort for both her and her family in her final days. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 15 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Paul's Anglican Church, 830 North Drive, Winnipeg, MB. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Buddy's memory to the Lung Association of Manitoba.
