HELEN VAN KESSEL Peacefully, after a lengthy illness, it is with deep regret we announce the death of Helen who died on Saturday, December 8, 2007 at her home in Winnipeg at the age of 74 years. Remaining to forever cherish Helen's memory are her beloved husband, Gerrit; son Derek; as well as friends and neighbours. She was predeceased by her father and mother. Helen achieved a B.Sc. at the University of Manitoba in conjunction with RCAF. She served overseas and later in hematology at Misericordia. Helen was a wonderful homemaker and enjoyed her family, traveling, camping, bowling and pets. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Helen's memory to the Salvation Army Divisional Headquarters, 500-55 Donald Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3C 1L8.
