Ben was born on July 21, 1916, and was raised and educated in Warren, MB. On October 23, 1948, Ben married Isabel Lawrence and they farmed on the family farm in the Warren area all his life. Family was very important to Ben, he loved all babies and children even if he didn't know them. Ben enjoyed trapping in his earlier years and later years enjoyed bowling, fishing, and took great pride in gardening. Many will remember Ben for his tours on the golf cart. We have many people to thank for making Ben's hospital stay as comfortable as possible. The staff were understanding and considerate to all his needs. Dr. Kanji and staff always allowed him to keep his dignity. Close relationships were made and appreciated as we met day after day supporting each other in the hospital. All visits were so special because of his wonderful social nature. The special homecare girls will never be forgotten as they were such a pillar of support for our family. Rev. Ross Taylor and Rev. Leonard Oracheski made many visits that were very comforting to Ben. Thank you all. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, December 18 at 2:00 p.m. at the Warren United Church. Rev. Ross Taylor will officiate. Flowers are gratefully declined. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to Warren United Church. MacKenzie Funeral Home, Stonewall in care of arrangements.
