JEANE MENZIES ENGLISH (nee DONAGHY) 1914 - 2007 It is with deep sadness that the family announces the passing of Jeane English, aged 93, on December 10, 2007, at Concordia Hospital. Jeane is survived by children, Valerie Pernsteiner (Ron Milbrath), Myrna Eichhorn, Loretta Nowicki (Ron); grandchildren, Heather, Audrey, Kathy, Patrick, Renee, Jason, Chandra and Christopher; as well as 10 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her infant daughter Yvonne, husband Frank in 1972, son Gerald, son-in-law Paul Eichhorn, brother Jim Donaghy and granddaughter Andrea. Jeane was born in Elphinstone, Manitoba. She met Frank in Lavenham, Manitoba, and married him in 1935. Their five children were born in Lavenham and the family moved to Transcona in 1947. Jeane enjoyed cooking and baking, knitting, needlepoint and crocheting all of her life. She also played piano and had a great love of all types of music. She was always there when someone needed her and always willing to share what she had with her family and friends. The later years of her life were spent in Eastpark Lodge and Park Manor Personal Care Home. Jeane will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Cremation has taken place. The celebration of Jeane's life will be held on Monday, December 17 at 10:00 a.m. at Park Manor Personal Care Home, 301 Redonda St. (at Kildare E.). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Park Manor Personal Care Home or the charity of your choice. Transcona Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements.
