FRED ROBERT SHELDON Peacefully on December 13, 2007 with his wife Alda and family by his side, Fred passed away after a courageous battle with cancer. Fred was born on September 30, 1928 in Stonewall, MB where he attended school while living and working on the family farm. Fred moved to Winnipeg and spent 41 years in the plumbing and heating trade, retiring in 1986 as senior partner with Randall Plumbing and Heating. He is predeceased by his brother Tom (Peggy) Sheldon and sister Margaret (Harry) Searle and brother-in-law Jack Bloomfield. Left to mourn are his wife Alda (nee Elliott) of 56 years; sons, Garry (Barb), Don (Pokey), Tom (Cathy), Freddy (Cori); daughter Marlene Mingy (Dave); grandchildren, Michael (Barb), Craig, Derrick, Jason, Holly, Sam, Brent, Keith, Cam, Connor, Fionnagh, James, Dylan; great-grandson Bryce; sister Alice Bloomfield and Fred's extended family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Fred's memory to Grace Hospital Auxillary, 300 Booth Drive, Winnipeg, MB R3J 3M7. Many thanks to staff at Grace Hospital, Third Floor South. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, December 18, 2007 at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave., with interment and reception to follow.
