HEINRICH (HENRY) HEIDEBRECHT April 19, 1928 December 13, 2007 It is with great sadness, the family announces the passing of Henry Heidebrecht on December 13, 2007 at the Riverview Health Centre. He will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his wife Maria; daughter Irene (Harry) Schellenberg and grandchildren Harold (Shannon) and Angela; daughter Irmgard (Woldemar) Kasdorf and grandchildren Charlene (Keith), Michael (Stephanie) and great-grandchild Samuel, and Anthony (Haley); and son Gerhard (Anne) and grandchildren Krista (Daryl), David and Steven. Henry was predeceased by his parents Gerhard and Maria Heidebrecht (nee Ediger) and sister Maria Kauz (Waldemar). Henry was born in Paulsheim, Molotschna, Ukraine and was separated from his family during the Second World War. He immigrated to Volendam, Paraguay where he met and married his wife, Maria Peters, and where their three children were born. In 1957 Henry and his family immigrated to Winnipeg to begin a new life. Most of his working years he worked as a carpenter and as an electrician. He worked for over 20 years at Robin Electric. He was always grateful for his family, friends and church who were an important part of his life. He fought the good fight and ran the race and he is now called to rest in his eternal home. The family would like to thank the staff at the Oncology Department at Concordia Hospital and Riverview Health Centre and Dr. P. Harris, Dr. A. Leylek, Dr. D. Reimer and Dr. R. Martens for their compassionate care and support. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 19, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. at Douglas Mennonite Church, 1517 Rothesay Street, with interment following in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens.
