Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGLEN ALBERT STEVENS It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Glen Stevens, accidentally while driving to Winnipeg on Wednesday, December 12, 2007. His memory will be cherished by his beloved wife of 41 years, Carol; his daughters, Kim (Dan) Hopp, Deb, and Karen; his grandchildren, Dane, Matt, Natasha, Taylor and Chance; his father, George Stevens; his sister Kathleen (Kelly) Land; his brother, Bill (Liz) Stevens, and his nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his in-laws, Matt and Zoiya Tostowaryk and his mother, Tanis Stevens. Glen was born in Prince Albert in 1942 and grew up in West Kildonan and Charleswood, where he excelled at hockey and curling and was a founding member of the Marquis Car Club. He graduated from Charleswood Collegiate and Red River Community College prior to working as a draftsman for the Province of Manitoba. He moved to Leduc, Alberta, in 1976 to work for Hydramach Overhead Crane Inc. He later set up his own company, C Four Enterprise, which he ran while being involved in the food bank and car rental services over the years. Glen enjoyed a full life that included numerous friends, travel to Europe, many annual visits to the Back to the Fifties Car Show in Minnesota with Adam Olinyk, golf, and a variety of other hobbies, but his love for his family always mattered most to him. His grandchildren will remember Papa as a babysitter, taxi driver, doctor, and the person to go to when Mom said, No . We are grateful for the efforts of the MacGregor and Austin Fire Departments, MacGregor EMS, LRB Enterprises, and the Portage la Prairie RCMP. Cremation has taken place. Funeral arrangements will be made in Leduc.
