JOSEPH (JOZSEF) ISZAN Peacefully on December 14, 2007, Joseph passed away at Riverview Health Centre at the age of 74. Joseph is survived by sister Maria Izsan; brother Ferenc Izsan; numerous nephews, nieces of all Hahot, Hungary and many friends in Winnipeg. He was predeceased by his wife Irene (1979); parents, Imre and Rozalia Izsan; three brothers, Imre, Peter and Karoly Izsan. Joseph was born in Hahot, Hungary on June 25, 1933 and came to Canada in the mid fifties. On arriving in Canada he worked in construction then worked at Health Sciences Centre for 35 years until retirement. He loved nature, which included his cottage life. Thanks to CancerCare Manitoba and Palliative care staff at Riverview Health Centre and all his friends for their care and compassion. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 19 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Hungarian Roman Catholic Church, 365 Burnell Street with Rev. Fr. Stan Gacek as Celebrant. Ash interment to follow in Brookside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Joseph's memory to CancerCare Manitoba or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba.
