Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARCELL COLLINS Collins, Marcell age 84 of Truro, NS and formerly of Winnipeg, passed away Thursday December 13, 2007 peacefully at home in Truro surrounded by family and friends. She was the daughter of the late Ralph and Viola (Byard) Collins. She was a member of Queen Victoria Temple #456 Daughters of Elks of the Mid-West State, a member of the Zion Baptist Church, and also an active member of the Pilgrim Baptist Church in Winnipeg. Marcell is survived by her companion, Raleigh Clements, Winnipeg; her son, Francis Collins (Frances); four sisters, Dorothy, Sandra, Eilleen and Phyllis, all of Montreal; two brothers, Royce, Winnipeg, and Douglas (Pat), Nassau; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild, and many nieces and nephews. Marcell was predeceased by her daughter, Carol Downey; her sister, Margaret; seven brothers, William, Charles, Robert, Donald, Richard, Clobie, and Ralph Jr. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 18, 2007 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 19 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Wallace Smith officiating, all in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow Street, Truro, NS. Interment will be held at a later date in Robie Street Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, or the Colchester Regional Hospital Palliative Care Unit.
