Louisa is predeceased by her husband, Mike, her parents William and Louisa Dentry, her sister Lillian, and her brothers Arthur and Raymond. She was known as Mom to son Michael (Judy) and daughters Kathy Cranston (Terry) and Lisa Audziss (Adam) and as Nanny to Colleen Doerksen (Chris), Shawn Cranston, Andrea Cranston (Andrew), Shelley Evanchuk (Scott), Tannis Evanchuk (Matthew), Dustin Audziss and step-grandchildren Jennifer and Jarrett Petit. She is also survived by her brother Albert (Louise), sister Violet Krewaz (Joe), sister-in- law Hedi Dentry, goddaughter Cindy Hall and many nieces, nephews and foster children. Mom was born June 29, 1929 in Kindersley Saskatchewan. She was raised and educated in Winnipeg, Manitoba where she met and later married the love of her life Mike. In 1964 Mom and Dad moved to Redditt Ontario where they raised their family. Mom worked at Ontario Central Airlines in the paint shop and later worked for CN as a cook until she retired. Mom was very loving and generous and had a big heart. All the kids growing up in Redditt always knew that they could find a person who would listen to their problems and a snack at Mom's kitchen table. She was a longtime volunteer for the community and was always involved with the Children's Christmas Concert at the Redditt Legion. In 1984 Mom and Dad moved to Parkview Apartments in Kenora where she resided until her recent illness. Louisa was always as busy and had a variety of talents. One of her greatest joys was to baby sit her grandchildren until they became too old. She always had some type of craft on the go, cooked many a fabulous Ukrainian meal or offered advice when asked. She enjoyed her regular gambling jaunts with her buddies to Winnipeg and Minnesota. She was a long time member of St. Alban's Cathedral Church and the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 12. The family would like to thank Dr. Workman for his care and concern over the years and to all the staff on 2 East (especially Mel, Ruth, Laurie, Emily, Caroline, Adie, Cathy) at the Lake of the Woods District Hospital for taking such good care of Mom. And to Jan Landsiedel with Palliative Care, your kindness will always be remembered. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday December 19, 2007, at St. Alban's Cathedral 312 Main Street South, Kenora, ON at 1:00 p.m. with the Very Rev. Hugh Matheson officiating.
