HARRY OPHEY Dad passed away Saturday, December 15, 2007, very quietly and peacefully, at the Riverview Health Centre. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Mary on December 11, 2000. He is survived by his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren - Germaine and Doug Cross (Stuart, Michael and his fiancée Jonell, Patrick, Kathleen); Paul and Delleen Ophey (Stephanee, Stacee, Ryan); Shirley and Roger LaRoque (Jason and Jennifer LaRocque and their son Riley, Samantha and Steve Bryden and their sons Jacob and Alexander, Nathan); Larry and Shawn Ophey (Kevin, Trevor). Funeral mass in celebration of Harry's life will be Wednesday morning, at 10:00 a.m., at Blessed Sacrament Parish, 710 Roanoke St. In keeping with Mary's precedent, we ask that the only flower in the Church be the one red rose on Harry's casket. We ask that you please join us in honouring this request by not sending flowers donations may be made to the Blessed Sacrament Building fund, a committee Dad worked with for many years. Harry's sudden illness means that he will not be able to say goodbye to all of the Riverview staff (he volunteered there in the years after Mom's passing), the Bike Dump where he was the three speed hub and wheel specialist, Meals on Wheels, or his bowling buddies. Many many thanks to all of you who stood by Dad over the past years. Your friendship, patience, and especially your continued prayers made a difference. He died peacefully, knowing he was loved by his family, and by God who created him.
