AGNES MAE HAMILTON (JERNBERG) Peacefully, with her family by her side, Agnes passed away on December 14, 2007 at West Park Manor. Agnes is survived by her family in Winnipeg son Bill, daughter Barbara (Jim Smith), granddaughter Cathy and her mother Susan, niece Sally McCulloch (Dave) and their children, Cara (and her son Noah), David and Michael, and Jenna and Trent, the children of her nephew, Andrew Wales, who predeceased her earlier this year. She is also survived by her nephews, Douglas of California and Ken (Amy) of New Jersey and their mother Eileen of Spokane, as well as other extended family members. She was predeceased by her husband Dave, her sister Dorothy Wales and her brothers-in-law, Jack Wales and Don Hamilton. The daughter of Helmer and Mary Jernberg, Agnes was born in 1918 in Winnipeg, where she lived throughout her life. She married Dave in 1942 and they were blessed with almost 60 years of marriage. They were fortunate to be able to enjoy many wonderful years after Dave's retirement. Agnes lived a full life filled with family and friends. Of special significance were the relationships that grew from her involvement over the years with Westminster United Church. She loved her family dearly and they knew it. She took pride in her children's achievements. Her granddaughter Cathy had a special place in her heart and brought her much joy. The family wishes to express our gratitude to Agnes' dear friend Betty Peddie and to the many others who supported her these last few years. We are also grateful to the staff at West Park Manor who cared for her with much kindness and respect. In accordance with Agnes' wishes, there will be a private family service. Should friends desire, donations in Agnes' memory may be made to The Westminster Foundation, 745 Westminster Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3G 1A5 or to a charity of their choice.
