CARL M. JOSEFCHUK December 4, 1942 December 17, 2007 Well, I guess since you are reading this, I did not make it. Damn cancer. I was predeceased by my first wife Irene, her parents Jesse and Everett Georget, and my parents, Carl and Jennie Josefchuk. I am survived by my wife Beverley (a beautiful lady that taught me how to live again when life was pretty bleak, I love you Babe), my children Ryan Josefchuk (Barb) and Sharla Kemkaran (I am so proud of both of you), my stepchildren Jeffrey Buhse, Glenda (Tim) Rempel and Sandi (Trevor) Fraser (whom I have grown to love as my own). I am also survived by my brother Michael (Donna) Josefchuk (keep on working on the music, you are both doing well at it). I am also survived by my grandchildren Joshua and Hunter Kemkaran, and Mason Josefchuk (no one could love you guys more than I do) and step-grandchildren Dana (never stop singing) and Bradley Penwarden. They say that if a man has one true friend in his lifetime then he is blessed. I guess that I was truly blessed for the friends that I had. In no particular order Jack and Gail, Allan and Debbie, Larry and Irene, John and Anna Marie, the Gentlefolk, Raymond and Barb, Carol and Murray, Archdeacon Mawejje and Agnes, Dave and Bobbi, Jerry and Lynne, Meron and Rosemarie, Tony and Pat, Alain, Reverend Diane, and our extended families at the parishes of St. Clements Anglican Church and St. Stephens Anglican Church. For anyone that I may have missed, I am truly sorry. I was born in Vernon, BC in 1942, but lived most of life in Selkirk, Winnipeg and Fisher Branch. I received my accounting certificate in 1973 and worked as an accountant in the construction industry basically all my working life. I retired in 2002. Enough of that, work was to feed the body, but music was to feed the soul. Music was my life and never did I enjoy it more than when Bev and I sang and played our guitars in various churches, particularly St. Clements and St. Stephens, and did Worship Services and the occasional Healing Service. Bev, my voice of an angel, we did some good work along the way. I wouldn't have missed it for the world. I also played accordion in dance bands in Manitoba and British Columbia for many years, some good and some bad, but I think that I took something away from each and every one of them which made a better musician out of me. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to St. Clements Anglican Church or the Diocese of Rupertsland after all, it is a tax donation. That's it for me, I love you all. The family expresses special thanks to all the following: Dr. Habtu Demsas, Dr. J. Lipschitz, Dr. Pat Harris, Dr. B. Goski, the wonderful nursing staff at the Oncology unit at Concordia Hospital, the St. Vital Wal-Mart Pharmacy staff for their consults and advice, Palliative Care Coordinator Kris Springer, Dr. Pilkey, Germaine, and all the wonderful palliative nursing staff who came to the home, and especially the caring E3 nurses and staff at Riverview Health Centre. A memorial service celebrating the life of Carl Josefchuk will be held at St. Clements Anglican Church, St. Andrews, Manitoba on Friday, December 21, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. with The Venerable Godfrey Mawejje officiating. Interment of ashes to follow in the Churchyard Cemetery.
