MICHAEL J. SAPACH It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Michael Sapach on Sunday, December 16, 2007, at the St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 91. Born in the rural municipality of Gardenton, MB, Mike spent his young life farming with his parents. He married Violet in 1944 and they moved to their own farm in Carlowrie, MB, in 1950. They retired in 1966 and eventually moved into a senior's residence in Winnipeg. Mike is survived by his wife, Violet, his children, Louise, Larry and Pat (Norm), his only grandchild, Lori (Bahaa), his sisters, Olga and Ann of Chatham, ON, and Helen (Jim) of Kenora and many nieces and nephews. Mike was predeceased by his parents, John and Paraska, his brother, Bill and sister, Mary. Prayers will be held on Friday, December 21 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Saturday, December 22 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Josephat's Ukrainian Catholic Church, 590 Alverstone St., with Rev. Fr. Nestor Yakiwchuk officiating. Interment to follow in Holy Family Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Josephat's Ukrainian Catholic Church or the St. Boniface Hospital and Research Foundation. The family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. Maila Gabriel and the staff at St. Boniface Hospital for their dedicated attention to Dad. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
