ROSIE BOCHURKA (nee GENICK) Suddenly, on Wednesday, December 19, 2007 at her residence in Teulon, MB, Rosie Bochurka, aged 83 years, formerly of Gimli and Winnipeg Beach. Rosie was predeceased by her beloved husband of 57 years, Thomas on March 27, 1999. They worked side by side farming at Winnipeg Beach all their married life. Mom was an avid baker and the best cook in the world always trying new things out. She is survived by her children, Sonia (Don) Zabudney of Surrey, BC, Ken (Heather) of Winnipeg Beach, and Marge (Ron) Harmon of Hazen, North Dakota. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Corey, Melanie (Jeff), Lisa, Justin (Kaylee) and Shannon (Shawn); great-grandchildren, Kayla-Mae Bochurka, Taylor Bochurka, Brandon Harmon, Haylee Kisiloski and Mathew, Cole and Liam Lenton; one brother, Allan Genick; sisters-in-law Frances Bochurka and Jean Dregger and many nieces and nephews. She also leaves her very special cousins, George and Eva Sohan and Irene and Stan Badder; very good friends, Marge Grushka and Elsie Dola. Thanks for all of your help with mom. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, December 22 at 10:00 a.m. in the Sts. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church in Winnipeg Beach with Father Peter Chorney officiating. Interment to follow in the Polish Pioneer Cemetery. Rest in peace, Mom, Grandma. Gilbart Funeral Homes, Selkirk and Gimli in care of arrangements.
