AMANDA LYNN BARCELONA June 21, 2007 - December 19, 2007 Amanda was born at the St. Boniface General Hospital on the first day of summer 2007. Amanda spent most of her life in the intensive care unit. For the time she was with us, she gave us laughter, joy and a lifetime of excitement. She brought people closer together making us realize the most important things in our lives. Amanda passed away on December 19, 2007 at the Children's Hospital Pediatric Intensive Care Unit due to multiple complications of her health problems. Amanda will be sadly missed by her parents, Gerry and Angie, grandparents, aunts, uncles and all her cousins from the Philippines, United States and Canada. We would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at the St. Boniface Hospital's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and the Children's Hospital's Pediatric Intensive Care Unit for all the love and care they have given Amanda. Wake service will be held on Saturday, December 22, 2007 from 6:00 - Midnight at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 27, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Cathedral. Interment and reception to follow at Glen Eden Funeral Home. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to SBGH NICU or the Children's Hospital's PICU. We all know you are an angel so spread your wings and soar up high in heaven.
