DAVID STANLEY NEPINAK October 28, 1960 December 18, 2007 Peacefully with his loving wife Michele, loving mother Solange, and loving family at his side, David left this world to continue his eternal journey with the creator and predeceased family members at his side. Leaving to cherish his memory is his loving wife Michele and his children; loving sons, Donny, William and David; loving daughters, Amanda (Micheal), Courtney (Richard), Shayna and Trisha; his mother, Solange (father Freddy in memory); his loving siblings: brothers, Alvin (Judy), Joseph (Sylvia in memory), Brian (Cynthia), James (Deanna), Robert (Emjay), and Jeffrey; sisters, Karen (Norman and Lisa (Wesley), loving mother and father-in-law; Eleneor and John Musgrave and family, sisters- in-law, Sandy (Dale), Joanne (Rick) and Gina; brother-in-law, John Jr. (Pam); loving Poppa to, Justice, Simone, Tyrell, Jordan, Brianna and Chelsea, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father Freddy, sister Frances, uncle Nelson, grandfather Arsene, grandmother Harriet, brother Garnet, and sister-in-law Sylvia, and niece Jenna. David was born in Winnipegosis, Manitoba and lived on the Pine Creek First Nation and the community of Duck Bay, Manitoba. As a young man, he eventually moved to Winnipeg where he met his future wife; Michele. On May 24, 1980, David and Michele were married and began their lives together until his passing. He was a very loving man and lived life to its fullest, listening to music with friends and family, driving his truck, and playing pool were his favorite ways of filling time. The sound of his laughter will be missed by all who knew him. Those that did know him will miss his sense of humor and his playful teasing that would fill a room. He loved to hear a joke and he loved to tell a joke. His caring ways that so many of us got to know will never be forgotten. His special buddies, Thomas, Joey, Grant, Rob, Cal and Errol know they have lost a dear friend. David's engaging smile and Hello there greeting always made you feel special. An all night wake will be held at Aboriginal Funeral Chapel on Thursday, December 20, 2007 beginning at 7:00 p.m. Funeral service to be held at Kateri Parish (794 Ellice Avenue) on Friday, December 21, 2007 at 9:30 a.m., with Father Robert Bernardin officiating. Interment to follow at Brookside Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be his son Donny and his brothers; Alvin, James, Joseph, Brian and Robert. Honorary pallbearers are William, Dale, John and Jeffrey. To my husband, As I watched you breathe your last breath, My heart ached so painfully at the thought of never seeing you again. Then I heard what the Elder had to say. He said you were taking a journey and that when you got there, You would start working on the job the Creator gave to you. Building our house for us so that when I got there you would be waiting for me, To bring me to our new home. With that thought my heart started to ease and my strength was renewed, So that instead of grieving forever I will take comfort in the thought of being with you again one day, Until then I will be missing you and loving you forever. Your loving wife Michele and Family. ABORIGINAL FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-7700 www.aboriginalfuneralchapel.com
