Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEDWINA JEAN CREIGHTON Edwina Jean Creighton (nee) Kidner, born February 24, 1920, passed away on December 19, 2007 peacefully with her family by her side at Concordia Hospital. She was predeceased by her husband Walter, sisters; Chris and Tish, also by her granddaughter Jennifer. She is survived by her brother, Art (Edie); sons, Laurie (Jo-Ann), Edward (Linda) and daughter Nancy (Budd). She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Tara, Dirk, Andrew, Pam, Carrie, Nicolle and Natalie and great-grandson Owen, her bundle of joy. Jean grew up in Fort Rouge and served proudly as a Switchboard Operator during the war. She met and married Walter after the war and raised their family in East Elmwood. Both were very active with the children in sports and the canteen. Mom loved to knit for all the kids and up until her recent illness was still knitting away and never lost her sense of humor. Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 22 at 2:00 p.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home. Reception to follow. Flowers and cards graciously declined, donations may be made to the Firefighter's Burn Fund, 303 - 83 Garry Street, Winnipeg, MB R3C 4J9.
