WILLIAM A. WILSON It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden and peaceful passing of our dear husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Bill, on Monday, December 17, 2007, at 89 years of age. Bill will be lovingly remembered by his beloved wife of 62 years, Connie; his children, Bill Jr. (Marlene), Steve (Linda), Peter (Laura) and Elizabeth (Richard Willerton); his grandchildren Jillian, Holly, Benjamin (Vanessa), Jeremy (Allison), Andrew, Timothy (Jessica), Jennifer (Sean), Claire and Ryan, great-grandchildren Corey, Jack and Jacob. He is also survived by sisters Geneva Tripp, Isabel (Bill Bradley) and brothers Kenneth (Audrey) and Donald (Shirley), sister-in-law MaryJean (Denzil Baird), as well as many nieces and nephews. Bill was born in Carleton Place, Ontario on September 17, 1918. He served five years overseas with the RCAF during the Second World War. In 1948 Bill started employment with what is now known as Superior Propane Ltd. In 1967, upon receiving a promotion to divisional manager for the Manitoba and Northwestern Ontario area, he moved his family to Winnipeg. Bill loved his work and was a dedicated employee for 38 years. In retirement Bill and Connie enjoyed many winters in Florida and spent many happy holidays visiting with family. Bill and Connie resided with their daughter and son-in-law for the last 18 years where he loved nothing more than cutting the grass and walking in the neighbourhood. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 22, 1:00 p.m. at Trinity United Church, 933 Summerside Avenue in Fort Richmond, reception to follow. Cremation has taken place, interment will follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Trinity United Church. You will always be in our hearts and never forgotten. We love you.
