JEANNE DURESKI Peacefully on December 19, 2007, Jeanne Dureski, aged 77, of Garson, Manitoba. She was predeceased by her husband Steve Dureski, parents Harry and Mary Krawec, sisters, Olga Krawetz, Olly Charney, Anne Krawetz, brother Steve Krawec and sister-in-law Ollie Krawec. Jeanne is survived by her son Ron Dureski, daughter Constance Dureski, son-in-law Shayne Shaw, brother Bill Krawec, brother-in-law Quinton Charney and several nieces and nephews. She was born and raised in Melrose, Manitoba. Jeanne moved to Winnipeg where she worked administratively for the Ashdown Company. Following her marriage to Steve, they became entrepreneurs in the hotel business, initially in Alonsa and soon afterwards in Garson where they raised their family, and for decades, were proprietors of the Garson Hotel. Jeanne enjoyed her community, travel, gardening, bird watching, culinary activities (in which she is unmatched) and principally her friends and family. She will be forever missed and fondly remembered by all who were fortunate to know her. Prayers took place yesterday and Divine Liturgy will be held today, December 22, at 10:30 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Ukrainian Catholic Church in Cooks Creek. Interment will follow in the Tyndall Cemetery. Flowers are gratefully declined and if friends desire, donations in Jeanne's memory can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. VICHNAYA PAMYAT
