ZIGMOND (SID) NAGY

Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryZIGMOND (SID) NAGY Sid passed away peacefully after a short stay in the Arborg Hospital on December 21, 2007 at the age of 92. Sid was born in Woodridge, MB on February 12, 1915 and came from a family of 10. He worked on the family farm and cut pulpwood in the winter. At age 15 he worked for the railroad. To get the job , he was told he had to be 16, so he changed his birth date. To this day he claims to be 93. In 1948 he moved to the Arnes area where he was well known as the little man with the big cows . Sid is survived by a sister Helen Paczay of Waterton, ON; a brother Lewis Nagy of Arnes; nieces and nephews, Dean (Bernice) Nagy of Arnes, Darlene (Stanley) Dudar of Arnes, Benard (Nancy) Nagy of Missoula, MT, Brad (Sheena) Nagy of Middleton, NS, Leon (Tamara) Nagy of Arborg, and many more nieces, nephews and cousins and all his friends from the surrounding area. He will greatly missed and fondly remembered. At his request cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held in the spring. Announcement will be made in the Free Press. Special thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at the Arborg Hospital for all their excellent care. Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Gimli in care of arrangements.
