Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANNA MAY NIELSEN (nee BARBOUR) Peacefully at Specialty Care Granite Ridge on Saturday, December 22, 2007. Beloved wife of the late Egon C. Nielsen. Predeceased by her siblings, Constance Holbein, Sheila Barbour and John A. Barbour. She is survived by her nieces, Katharine Johnson, May Holmes, and Judith Barbour Osborne; her nephews, Paul, John and David Barbour; and her husband's children, Joan McNamara and Ronald Nielsen. Anna May graduated from the University of Manitoba (with Honours) in 1939. She started her career with the R.C.M.P. in Ottawa, then continued in the Editorial Department at the United Nations for 33 years. During this time she also became an ordained Unity minister for the Church of the Healing Christ in New York City. Friends are invited to visit at the West Chapel of Hulse, Playfair McGarry, 150 Woodroffe Avenue at Richmond Road on Saturday, December 29 from 12:00 noon until Service Time in the Chapel at 1:00 p.m. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions to the Ottawa Hospital Foundation or to the University of Manitoba would be appreciated.
