NORA SPARROW 1915 - 2007 It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Nora Sparrow, on Saturday, December 22, 2007 at the Pembina Place Personal Care Home at 92 years of age. Nora was predeceased by her husband Bus (Lewis) in 1995, sister Effie Ann, brothers, Norman, Donald and John along with her parents Norman and Margaret MacLean. Nora is lovingly missed by her children, Pat (Dave) McCorriston, Norman (Linda) Sparrow, Linda (Bob) Haug, grandchildren, Glen (Candy) McCorriston, Brian (Kim) McCorriston, Scott Sparrow, Chris (Lisa) Conlin, Dave (Sam) Conlin, Diana (Brian) Bertrand along with many great-grandchildren; her sister Murina Bauer of Edmonton and brother in law Doug Anderson of Winnipeg, sister-in-law Bernice Sparrow of Port Alberni and sister-in-law Gerri MacLean of Yellowknife and many nieces and nephews. Nora grew up on Wardlaw Avenue attending Gladstone and Kelvin High School. From there she went on to attend Success Business College where her career path was formed. After Mom married Dad she moved to Lorette Avenue to raise their family. Mom worked for the Canadian Arthritis Society for 20 years until retirement. She had been a member of the Toastmasters Club, and Quota Club developing many friendships along the way. Many thanks to the Pembina Place Personal Care Home where Mom spent the last three and one half years. She had outstanding care and warm wonderful people attending her needs. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 28, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. at Harrow United Church on the corner of Mulvey and Harrow with Dr. Eleanor Gieb officiating. If friends so desire, in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the CNIB, 1080 Portage Avenue. Arrangements entrusted to: Chapel Lawn Funeral Home 885-9715
