ISABELLE PARK It is with deep sorrow we announce the sudden passing of Isabelle Park, beloved mother, mother in law, grandmother and great grandmother (GG). Isabelle was predeceased by the love of her life, husband Lloyd Park; parents, Fred and Claira Morrison and only sister, Ina Lawrenson (Elmer). She leaves to mourn daughter Nancy; son-in-law Dwight; grandson Mark (Joelle); great-granddaughter Lauren and granddaughter Karen (Jason). She is survived by in-laws, Jim and Marilyn Park, Elma (Allan) Park, Iris (Doug) Park, Jim and Helen Adams; 16 nephews and nieces, her cousin Mel and Mabel Morrison. Isabelle was born and raised in Carman, one mile east to be exact. She often laughed about this because when she got married, she moved exactly one mile west of town, where she lived for 50 years, before moving into the center of town. She was a woman of great strength and courage, never afraid to stand up for her beliefs and say what was on her mind. She lived her life to the fullest. She enjoyed many years working side by side with Lloyd on the farm. She took special joy in her manicured yard and beautiful flower garden. She was especially proud of her grandchildren and their life mates, who were equally as proud of her. She was a hip, up with the times kind of grandma who seemed to be always one step ahead. She held a special place in her heart for Dwight. She felt he was the hardest working man and loved and respected him. He was truly the son she never had. GG was happy she got to spend time with Lauren and was looking forward to the newest little Adams. Isabelle was an avid sports fan, her favorites being hockey, baseball, football, tennis and figure skating. She was a competitive golfer, winning the Club Championship many years in a row. She was very proud of her hole in one . In her youth she was known for her speed skating and fast ball. She was a competitive curler all her life. She won the Provincial titles in both the Ladies and Senior Events. We would like to express our sincere appreciation to Blake Phillips. Thank you for all you did for Isabelle, you were a wonderful neighbour. Special Thanks to Gabe Paul, Isabelle's best and long time pal. Thanks for the laughter and the fun-times (the wagers, in particular). Gabe, you were such a terrific friend to Mom and will always be cherished and truly appreciated. In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place and a private graveside service is to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Carman Hospital Auxiliary or a charity of your choice.
